About Me

I've been working in e-Learning since 2007. Here's a little bit about my journey to date.
  • 2015

    Exciting times

I continue to lead developments of technology-enhanced learning at Marjon, managing institution-wide projects including the campus-wide roll-out of Lecture Capture and the adoption of e-Submission. I also represent the institution as a member of the UK Heads of e-Learning Forum (HeLF) and am active within the Association of Learning Technology (ALT) network.

  • 2013

    Master of Arts

In 2013 I successfully gained a Master of Arts in Online and Distance Education with the Open University, building on my interest in the pedagogic use of technology.

  • 2011

    Moving on up

In 2011 I became the Senior e-Learning Technologist at Marjon, taking on responsibility for managing the e-Learning Team who provide support, advice and technical developments to the staff and student body.

  • 2007

    Starting my e-Learning adventure

After graduating with a first class degree in Computing and Information Technology with Education Studies, and spending a year on a JISC funded research project, I joined the e-Learning Team at the University of St Mark & St John in 2007, working with colleagues to develop the institution’s use of technology-enhanced learning (TEL). This included ensuring the on-going development of the University VLE and designing resources and systems to support student and staff learning.

I have a wealth of experience in web, app and e-Learning development. I also have a solid theoretical knowledge of technology-enhanced learning pedagogy.
